An electric stove does not require lighting like a gas stove. When you turn on an electric stove, you simply need to adjust the temperature or heat settings to the desired level, and the heating elements beneath the glass cooktop will start to generate heat. There is no open flame or ignition process involved as there would be with a gas stove.

To use an electric stove, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the stove is plugged into a power outlet and that the power is turned on.
  2. Locate the control panel or knobs typically positioned on the front or top of the stove.
  3. Depending on the model, you may have separate knobs or buttons to control each burner, or a single control panel for the entire stove.
  4. Turn the corresponding knob or press the buttons for the burner you wish to use. There are usually markings or indicators near the controls to help you identify which burner is associated with each control.
  5. Adjust the temperature or heat setting by turning the knob or pressing the buttons. Most electric stoves have a range of temperature settings or heat levels to choose from.
  6. Once you've set the desired temperature, the heating element(s) beneath the glass cooktop will begin to generate heat. You can place your cookware on top of the stove to start cooking or heating food.

Remember, always exercise caution when using an electric stove, and be mindful of the hot surfaces during and after use to prevent burns or accidents.
