No, you cannot use normal pots and pans on an induction stove. Induction stoves rely on magnetic fields to generate heat directly in the cooking vessel. These stoves require cookware that is specifically designed for induction cooking.

Induction-compatible pots and pans are made from magnetic materials such as cast iron or stainless steel. These materials allow the magnetic field to penetrate the cookware and generate heat. Aluminum, copper, and glass cookware, which are not magnetic, will not work on an induction stove.

To check if your existing cookware is compatible with induction cooking, you can perform a simple magnet test. Place a magnet on the bottom of your pot or pan, and if it strongly sticks to the surface, then the cookware is induction-compatible.

If you don't have induction-compatible cookware, you can purchase induction-specific pots and pans, or you can use an induction-compatible interface disk. These disks are made of magnetic materials and can be placed between the induction stove and your regular cookware to make them work on an induction cooktop.
